Service Technician

Here's what you'll be responsible for each day: 

• Solving operational issues, doing mechanical and electrical repairs and making adjustments with the client in person or by phone
• Training Operators and Maintenance Technicians at clients’ locations
• Explaining the work to the client
• Completing aggregate service reports and getting the client’s signature
• Drafting detailed service reports for internal use
• Evaluating client needs and opportunities to optimise the equipment and processes
• Offering solutions to the client such as a preventative maintenance program and replacement parts
• Recommending to the Engineering team changes to the products to improve equipment
• When the Technician isn’t providing services: participating in the assembly, disassembly and palletizing of equipment (electrical and mechanical)

The things we're looking for on your CV:

• DEC in Industrial Electronics Technology, Industrial Maintenance Technology or Mechanical Engineering Technology or any other combination of trainings (vocational diploma or DEP) related to the position
• Over three (3) years of experience in equipment installation and automation, ideally in the printing or web converting field
• Capacity to read and understand machine drawing and electrical schematics
• Bilingualism (French and English) is essential
• Knowledge of Spanish, an asset

• General knowledge of PLCs and operator interfaces (HMI)
• Basic knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite

Specific Conditions:

• Competitive salary
• Regular work week of 40 hours – however, the number of hours can surpass 40 hours and be distributed from the Sunday to the Saturday depending on client needs and different emergencies
